Hi, I am Vira. I am the founder of Kaia! It has taken me so many years to discover my true calling of being a fashion stylist. A little about me: I was born and raised in India and have been obsessed with our traditions and culture since childhood. Growing up, like many others, I played dress up using my mom's sarees and jewelry. Later on, I was able to expand my understanding of South Asian fashion. My love for textiles led me to dive deeper into trends, heirloom pieces, embroidery, and I continue to educate myself as new information unfolds.
After styling my wedding and assisting friends with theirs, I realized that while having a wedding planner was helpful, many struggled to find someone to help them with the most important aspect of their wedding: their trousseau. This realization led me to step in and fill the role of a stylist.
As a stylist, my job is to source and introduce you to current trends, small businesses, luxury brands, and custom couture. I act as a liaison between you and the brands to help complete your looks for events based on your needs, budget, and aesthetics.
What can I offer as a stylist?
A stylist is someone that I like to define as a best friend that helps you put together your best, timeless, elegant look for your special event. They assist you in creating a look that fits your event aesthetics including identifying trends, scouting outfits and outfit styling, picking the best jewelries and accessories, finding the right make up, and hair style that complement your look and comfort. They pretty much help you put together moodboards for when you are shopping to take as an inspo to post shopping to suggest your jewelry, make up, hair, etc. They are your best friend from the beginning, to the end of your events guiding you, keeping you calm, and helping you look your best for your beautiful moments.

Event planning can be stressful, but hiring a planner can ease the burden. However, creating a cohesive wardrobe for yourself and your loved ones can be challenging due to a lack of time and space in our daily lives. Keeping up with trends and brands can be overwhelming and that's where a stylist can help by providing consultation on outfits, jewelry, accessories, themes, brand management & coordination, and putting together the looks for you so you don't have to. Weddings often incorporate Western culture, where keeping the couple's looks a surprise until the first look reveal is a common practice. This limits the ability to acquire feedback from trusted loved ones and can cause difficulties for the bride and groom. Having a stylist ensures access to the best brands and a specialist with knowledge of current trends, who can understand your wants and needs.
